Benefits of a Multi-age Early Learning Environment
Multi-age Environment at Kelowna Kids Co.
Multi-age care is a natural child care setting with one Educator (ECE) to a maximum of 8 children with no more than 3 of those children under 36 months. It allows the children to become a "family of learners" who care and support each other. Older children have the ability to be mentors and take on leadership roles. The younger children are able to accomplish tasks that they may not have been able to do without the help of older children. This environment creates consistency, stability, and fosters the spirit of cooperation and caring.
